He's a myth hey this "Stunnin Courage" , just an example of a pedgree with a double dose of In The Pocket" on both sides of a pedigree , its there to to see on Allbreedpedigree, looks like a natural line breed foal to me so should work well now.
Looks like seending your Courage Under Fire mares to these new Cullen Sires may take off. And the reverse of course when we get Courage Stallions for Cullen mares

Without looking it up, I would be worried about too much concentration of the same lines very close up in a pedigree. But in saying that, extreme inbreeding like that has worked in the past

I should say the examples I have are throughbred, not standardbred, to clarify

I should say the examples I have are throughbred, not standardbred, to clarify Smiling Shard and Deweycheatumnhowe are 2 that come to mind. Smiling Shard 3x3 to Abercrombie on the sireline and maternally inbred to Blue Horizon who is the dam of Panorama and the 2nd dam of Grinifromeartoear. Dewey 4x2 to Speedy Somoli on the sireline and maternally inbred to Speedy Crown and Noble Victory. When this type of breeding works it seems to always very close in like 3x3 on the sireline.

Kentuckiana and Co have doubled up and sometimes even tripled up on the blood of Golden Miss throughout a whole series of yearlings over the last 3-4-5 years. In fact there was a Lexington Yearling Sale maybe three or four years ago now (?) that was pretty much littered with yearlings that were bred that way. Considering the number of times it has been done, and with the possible exception of Tell All, to my knowledge it has not served to do anything particularly magical so far.
Brittany & Co have done something similar but perhaps not quite to as great an extent with some yearlings by sires and mares that both trace to K Nora. In fact there's at least one American Ideal yearling in the US that has been offered/is being offered this year which is, by virtue of it's sire & dam, bred 3 times over to that same dam line. Interesting stuff.

I'm breeding this season back to Lordship's dam " Ladyship" through "Magic Rule" with a mare that has that same dam in its Maternal line (6 removes I recall). Hope to get a good one with that double up

I noticed there are quite a few in the NZ Sales Catalogue that are linebred to Direct Scooter. Mach Three's from Cullen mares for example. Interesting stuff.

Hello Hello,
Just stumbled onto this website and was surprised to see the comments about my Erin Finn - Courage Under Fire filly. I cannot take credit for the breeding as the mare Erin Finn was in foal to Courage when I bought her. However I would have bred her to Courage anyway. Her name is Robyns Fire nz and she is now two years old and should have her first trial in the next few weeks. She is trained in Brisbane by the highly experienced international trainer Darren McCall. I called her Robyns Fire after the great mare Robin Dundee.
The dam is only the same size as Courage and the filly is a little bigger than both of them. She has a beautiful nature and is a lovely mover. Very light on her feet and seems to float over the ground. Fingers crossed that she has some of her dads ability.
